NIP upsets BIG to advance further in BLAST Premier Spring Finals

NIP books a spot in BLAST Premier Spring Finals after defeating BIG 2-0 in Group A's upper bracket final and have faced two of the best teams in the world to earn a place in the tournament. The Swedes had included Erik "ztr" Gustafsson of the academy team to take the place of Simon "twist" Eliasson after he was benched by the organization and surprised everyone with a victory in $150,000 event and defeated Astralis in the process as well. BIG had an ideal start on Overpass until NIP showed resilience and forced overtime and won the map, later on at Mirage a similar kind of show prevailed.

BLAST Premier Spring Finals will now take place on June 15-20 where NIP will be joined by seven more teams and compete for $425,000 while BIG will play Astralis in Group A's consolidation final after they defeated OG on the same day.
