TheMongolz have progressed to the Nomadic Masters grand final

TheMongolz have progressed to the Nomadic Masters grand final after a flawless run through the upper bracket. Dominant 2-0 victories over Gaimin Gladiators, Aurora, and BLEED in Ulaanbaatar secured their spot in the best-of-five grand final.

The $100,000 LAN event, held from June 1-2 in the 5000-seat Steppe Arena, will see TheMongolz as tournament favorites. Many attendees will back the home side as they aim for their first-ever LAN trophy against Western opposition. The big surprise thus far was OG finishing last after losses to ATOX and Chinggis Warriors, two teams outside the top 100.  Gaimin Gladiators also exited early after defeats by TheMongolz and Mongolia's No. 2, ATOX. The tournament format aimed to pit European teams against local Asian opposition, and those upsets leave BLEED and Aurora as the last two foreign teams standing. BLEED, attending their first LAN since entering CS2, have extra attention after acquiring Joakim "⁠jkaem⁠" Myrbostad and Tim "⁠nawwk⁠" Jonasson from Apeks.
