Virtus.pro won the CCT 2023 Online Finals 2 and the $100,000 first-place cash prize after defeating Spirit 2-0, drawing first blood on Overpass (16-11), and wrapping up the series in overtime on Vertigo (19-16) after overcoming 5-10 and 11-15 deficits on the map. Virtus.pro had a relatively difficult path to the grand final, having to overcome Apeks and OG before facing off against Spirit in the tournament's upper bracket final, where Leonid "chopper" Vishnyakov and company initially reigned supreme, relegating the IEM Rio Major champions to the lower bracket.
Regardless, Dzhami "Jame" Ali's team defeated Aurora in the consolidation final and were significantly more in command during their title-deciding match. When it came to dealing with Danil "donk" Kryshkovets, Virtus.pro had a definite strategy in mind, preventing Spirit from relying on its 16-year-old prodigy.
