Vitality is back on the No.1 spot 

Dan "apEX" Madesclaire-led side has managed to jump over Heroic on the rankings table to take the first spot for the first time after two months. Since June Vitality was trailing behind Heroic in the second place, but their latest win against Gamers8 propelled them forward to the top spot.

In Riyadh, the European team won its third LAN championship of the year and the first time since Shahar "flameZ" Shushan replaced Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen. As a result of their victory over ENCE in the championship match, Vitality received the majority of the $1,000,000 prize fund as well as enough points to overtake Heroic, who had been in first place for the previous two months, on the ladder. Vitality’s journey this season started with the IEM Rio title, later the European roster also grabbed the BLAST.tv Paris Major trophy which added to their final ranks as well.
