Wildcard qualified for ESL Challenger Atlanta

Wildcard were the last team to qualify for ESL Challenger Atlanta, which will take place from October 4-6, following their strong run through the North American closed qualifier. The result came during a successful run for Wildcard, who qualified for the Perfect World Shanghai Major Americas RMR with a 3-0 record and are now on a 15-game winning streak. Peter "Stanislaw" Jarguz and crew breezed through the Atlanta qualifier, dropping only one map in three matches. They began their season with an easy victory over Party Astronauts before defeating NRG in a tight battle.

Wildcard met NRG in the grand final. Unfortunately for NRG, they were limited to only 13 rounds throughout the series, allowing Wildcard to advance to the tournament in Atlanta. During the qualification, Tim "susp" Ångström (1.31 rating), Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek (1.27), and Josh "JBa" Barutt (1.21 rating) all performed exceptionally well and took turns leading the squad in top-fragging. The Swedish rifler finished first in the final with a 1.49 rating.
