The most likely F1 comeback date for Liam Lawson has been announced

Few drivers have made their Formula One debuts under more trying conditions than Liam Lawson. Following Daniel Ricciardo's injury during Zandvoort Practice, the 22-year-old was called in as a last-minute substitute. Lawson’s preparation was not only minimal, but damp circumstances hampered qualifying and the race in The Netherlands. Even the most experienced drivers would make mistakes in these conditions, let alone a rookie.

Despite the downpour, the Kiwi kept his cool, making no mistakes and bringing the vehicle home. Lawson's performance improved with each following race weekend. Oscar Piastri's move from Alpine to McLaren should act as a wake-up call to Red Bull. If they do not give Lawson a chance, someone else will. However, it is doubtful that Red Bull will let Lawson's skill go to waste. In this sense, to be listed in AlphaTauri's 2024 driver lineup is quite significant for Liam.
