Ajax moves to sign Ceballos

Ajax have reportedly opened negotiations to sign Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid, with coach Michel identifying the Spanish midfielder as a top priority for the summer transfer window. According to press reports, Ceballos has been at the top of Ajax’s shortlist since May, reflecting the staff’s strong belief in his technical quality and experience. Despite being under contract until 2027, the 27‑year‑old is expected to leave Madrid after a season marked by limited playing time and reported disagreements with former coach Álvaro Arbeloa.

Real Madrid have set an asking price of around €8 million, a figure considered manageable for Ajax, who are eager to finalise the transfer swiftly. The Dutch club hope to reach an agreement soon, while Ceballos prepares for a new chapter in search of more minutes and a central role. His arrival would provide Ajax with creativity, control and valuable top‑level experience in midfield.
