Atletico deny any Barca offer for Julian

Atlético Madrid have firmly rejected rumours surrounding Julián Álvarez, telling Marca that the Argentine forward is not for sale and dismissing reports of a Barcelona offer as fabricated. Speculation intensified after claims that Álvarez had informed Atlético of his desire to join Barça, followed by suggestions the Catalans were preparing an opening bid.

Senior club sources responded forcefully, expressing frustration at what they described as months of “lies, half‑truths and harassment” directed at their players. They insisted no proposal had been received and no meetings had taken place. Atlético were also keen to absolve Álvarez of responsibility, stressing that the noise originates from agents and that the player has behaved with complete professionalism.

According to AS, the club went as far as criticising Barcelona’s conduct, accusing them of acting “like a small club” throughout the saga. For now, Atlético’s stance remains unequivocal: Álvarez is staying.
