Brazil down Egypt 2-1 in World Cup warm-up

Brazil wrapped up their World Cup preparations with a 2‑1 win over Egypt in Cleveland, secured by goals from Bruno Guimarães and Endrick. Carlo Ancelotti’s team, fresh from a 6‑2 victory over Panama, struck early when Guimarães dispossessed Mohanad Lashin and finished low past Mostafa Shoubir after seven minutes.

Egypt hit back quickly as Marquinhos’ weak back pass allowed Mostafa Zico to equalise with a precise finish past Alisson. Brazil then regained control, forcing Shoubir into strong saves from Vinícius Júnior and Raphinha before the break.

Ancelotti made eight changes at half‑time, including the introduction of 19‑year‑old Endrick, who delivered instantly. Raphinha broke free on the left and squared for the striker, who swept a composed shot into the far corner to restore the lead.

Brazil now shift focus to their Group C opener against Morocco on 13 June, while Egypt prepare to face Belgium in Group G.
