Eduardo Camavinga, who is a key player for Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti, wants to prove to Didier Deschamps that he deserves more playing time in the French national team.
The 20-year-old gave an interview ahead of the friendly against Scotland and spoke about his national team's current situation and took a little dig at Deschamps.
"It's an honour to finish this stage, the qualifying phase, well. It's been a long time since France qualified so quickly. We're going to take things step by step. We'll be aiming to finish this phase very, very calmly and then we'll focus on the Euro 2024.
"Whether it's a friendly or a competitive match, the most important thing is to give it your all. So I'm going to play the same way I always do. I'm going to show what I'm capable of," he continued.
