Paulo Dybala has ended uncertainty over his future by agreeing to extend his contract with Roma, choosing continuity in the capital despite interest from Boca Juniors. The Argentine forward, whose previous deal expired on June 30, has accepted a renewal on reduced terms, signing through 2027 with an option for an additional year. According to reports from specialized press, Dybala was convinced by Gian Piero Gasperini’s plans and the club’s ambition to return to the Champions League after a seven‑year absence.
Boca Juniors had pursued him persistently, but Dybala opted to remain a cornerstone of Roma’s project. His last campaign was disrupted by injuries, yet he still contributed three goals and seven assists across 27 appearances. Gasperini has repeatedly emphasised Dybala’s importance, viewing him as a decisive creative force. With the new agreement in place, ‘La Joya’ is set to continue as a key pillar of Roma’s rebuild and attacking identity.
