Federico Chiesa could be heading back to Serie A in January

Federico Chiesa could be heading back to Serie A in January as his difficulties at Liverpool persist. According to Calciomercato, Inter, Atalanta and Lazio are all tracking the Italy international’s situation and may consider an approach during the winter window. Chiesa, now in his third season in England, has found it hard to secure regular minutes and is reportedly evaluating whether a return home could help revive his form and strengthen his chances of reclaiming a place in the national team ahead of 2027.

At present, no negotiations are underway, but interest from Italy remains strong as clubs assess whether Liverpool might be open to a mid‑season deal. Chiesa’s priority is to play consistently, something he has struggled to achieve at Anfield. A move back to Serie A could offer the continuity he needs, though any transfer will depend on Liverpool’s stance and the financial conditions involved.
