Harry Kane confirmed that discussions have started to extend his contract

Harry Kane confirmed that discussions have started to extend his Bayern Munich contract beyond 2027, signalling his intention to remain with the German champions. Speaking after Bayern’s emphatic 5‑1 win over Stuttgart in the Bundesliga opener, the 33‑year‑old striker said the first meeting took place last week and that both sides are relaxed about the process. Kane, a leading contender for the Ballon d’Or to be awarded in London in August, stressed that “a lot of details” still need to be addressed but expressed confidence that an agreement will be reached.

He joined Bayern in 2023 from Tottenham and has become central to their success, scoring 36 goals in 31 league matches last season while helping secure a domestic double. In total, he netted 73 goals for club and country, including six at the World Cup. Bayern have repeatedly stated their desire to keep Kane, and the striker appears equally committed.
