Kane shatters 40‑year Bundesliga milestone

Harry Kane’s extraordinary scoring run in Germany has produced another historic milestone. The Bayern Munich forward has reached and surpassed 100 Bundesliga goals in just 98 matches, breaking a record that had stood since 1977, when Dieter Müller needed 129 appearances to hit triple figures with Köln. Kane struck twice against Union Berlin, converting a first‑half penalty before adding a second after the break from a Michael Olise assist, pushing his tally to 101. Since arriving from Tottenham in 2023, the 33‑year‑old has maintained a remarkable output, averaging a goal every 78.5 minutes in the league.

Not even Erling Haaland or Robert Lewandowski matched such efficiency. Kane is also the fastest player in Bayern history to reach 150 goals, doing so in 153 matches. After winning last season’s Golden Boot with 36 league strikes, he is now firmly in the race for the Ballon d’Or, aiming to become the first English winner since Michael Owen.
