Milan back Amorim with Ramos

AC Milan have completed the signing of Portugal striker Gonçalo Ramos from Paris Saint-Germain for a reported club-record fee of more than €70 million, marking the first major statement of the Ruben Amorim era at San Siro.

Ramos becomes the first major signing under new manager Ruben Amorim as Milan look to rebuild after missing out on Champions League qualification. The striker reunites with his compatriot, who is tasked with restoring the Rossoneri to Italy's summit and back into Europe's elite competition.

Ramos adds proven goalscoring and Champions League pedigree to a forward line Amorim intends to reshape around pace and pressing. Veteran playmaker Luka Modric has also officially extended his contract with Milan, lending experience to the transition.
