Raphinha’s Barcelona exit hinges on high transfer fee

According to Sport, an unidentified Premier League team allegedly tried in vain to sign Barcelona's Raphinha, a summer transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur, for £51.2 million.

The Brazilian winger has not been a consistent fixture in Xavi Hernandez's starting lineup at Camp Nou this year, and there have been rumors that he may leave the Catalan team this summer due to their financial predicament and requirement to sell. 

Raphinha may serve as Barcelona's summertime scapegoat, but top teams are reportedly already vying for the services of the former Leeds United winger. The 27-year-old is reportedly interested in joining North London, and according to sources in Spain, the team has been in touch with Raphinha's agents about a possible summer transfer. But as Spurs work to agree on a contract with the player, his present employers recently rejected a proposal of €60 million (£51.2 million) from a Premier League team that want to remain anonymous.
