Salah set for new chapter with Besiktas after Liverpool exit

Mohamed Salah is reportedly close to joining Besiktas after reaching an agreement with the Turkish club, marking the next step in his career following his departure from Liverpool. The 34‑year‑old forward is expected to sign a one‑year contract with an option for a second season, according to Foot Mercato. The deal would earn him around €10 million annually, with an additional €2 million available in bonuses.

Salah leaves Liverpool after nearly a decade of extraordinary impact, having made more than 440 appearances, scored 257 goals and collected eight major trophies. Although his final season under Arne Slot was below his usual standards, he still produced 22 goal involvements across 41 matches, tallying 12 goals and 10 assists.

A move to Besiktas would offer Salah a fresh environment and a leading role, as the Istanbul club look to rebuild with experienced, high‑profile talent.
