Frankfurt hit St. Tönis for eleven in record‑breaking Cup opener

Eintracht Frankfurt opened their German Cup campaign with an astonishing 11–0 demolition of fifth‑tier St. Tönis, producing one of the most dominant performances in the competition’s 84‑year history. In Adi Hütter’s first official match since returning to the club, Frankfurt responded emphatically to last week’s 7–0 friendly defeat against Brentford by scoring ten goals before half‑time, the highest first‑half tally ever recorded in the tournament.
