Szoboszlai signs long‑term Liverpool extension

Liverpool have reportedly secured Dominik Szoboszlai’s future, with the Hungarian midfielder signing a new long‑term contract after months of negotiations led by sporting director Richard Hughes. Szoboszlai enjoyed a standout campaign last season, scoring a career‑best 13 goals and earning the club’s Player of the Season award despite a disappointing, trophyless year for the Reds. Since joining, he has made 147 appearances, contributing 28 goals and 26 assists, establishing himself as a central figure in Liverpool’s rebuild under new manager Andoni Iraola.

Transfer experts confirmed the agreement, stating that Szoboszlai has signed a four‑year extension through June 2031 and will join Liverpool’s top earners. Alongside securing their star midfielder, Liverpool have added Jeremy Jacquet from Rennes and Victor Munoz from Osasuna. The club continues to search for a replacement for Mohamed Salah, targeting a winger capable of elevating the squad into title contention next season.
