Austin Reaves' game-winning basket concluded Wednesday's Christmas Day matchup between Stephen Curry and LeBron James.
Before Reaves' final-second layup won the Los Angeles Lakers' 115-113 victory over the Golden State Warriors, Curry knotted the game with two late threes. Reaves celebrated the holiday with a triple-double, finishing the game with 26 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. After two Warriors-Cavaliers holiday games in 2015 and 2016 and a Warriors-Lakers Christmas battle in 2018, Wednesday was James and Curry's fourth meeting on Dec. 25. In the holiday rematch in 2024, the stars were once again in control. James replaced Anthony Davis, who left the game with an ankle injury in the first quarter, and ended the game with a team-high 31 points. Curry meanwhile led the Warriors with 38 points, including 17 in the fourth quarter, while helping launch multiple comeback attempts for Golden State.
