The Milwaukee Bucks made headlines this summer by waiving Damian Lillard and acquiring Myles Turner in a bold attempt to reassure Giannis Antetokounmpo and convince him the team could contend again. However, it may not have had the desired effect. According to NBA insider Shams Charania, Antetokounmpo is still weighing his future and considering whether he can win another championship with the current roster.
Speaking to ESPN Milwaukee, Charania explained the questions Giannis is asking himself: “Can I win another championship in Milwaukee? Can I win with this roster, not only next season but in 2026–27?” The Bucks now face a difficult situation. They made a gutsy move by swapping Lillard for Turner, but they have little room to make further changes this offseason. With Giannis uncertain, Milwaukee must hope their revamped lineup will be enough to keep him committed.
