Ja Morant scored a total of 26 points six of which came in the final 30 seconds as the Memphis Grizzlies went on to extend their winning streak to six matches with a 110-106 triumph over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday.
Morant handed the team a lead with a double-pump short jumper in the final seconds to take the score to 106-104 then went on a rampage by taking the ball from Brandon Goodwin and scored once more with 22 seconds left. While Lauri Markkanen again pulled Cavaliers in the lead with 108-106, Morant seized another opportunity to throw a pair of free throws and lock Grizzlies for a win and denied Cavs a win who have dropped four of their five matches. Darius Garland had returned to the lineup and contributed 27 points and 10 assists as well but Memphis was the better team.
