Jamal Murray has agreed to a four-year extension worth $208 million

Denver Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray has agreed to a four-year, $208 million extension, according to a source who spoke to The Associated Press. The deal, pending official signatures, ensures Murray won't become a free agent next summer.

After a remarkable comeback from a torn ACL that sidelined him for the 2021-22 season, Murray played a pivotal role in leading the Nuggets to their first NBA championship in 2023. Despite recent injury setbacks and a disappointing performance in the Paris Olympics, where he often came off the bench, his value to the team remains high. Murray, who forms a dynamic duo with three-time MVP Nikola Jokic, will remain with the Nuggets through the 2028-29 season. He is the franchise’s all-time leader in 3-pointers and averaged a career-high 21.2 points and 6.5 assists last season, though injuries limited his availability in several games.
