Joel Embiid's 33 points and 10 rebounds led the Philadelphia 76ers to a 97-89 victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday night. Tobias Harris scored 21 points, while Tyrese Maxey added 16 points and eight assists for the 76ers, who are on a five-game winning run. Embiid struggled from the field, shooting only 11 of 23 tries, but he scored at least 30 points for the 20th straight game. He was 11 of 12 on free throws. He did not participate in the fourth quarter of Friday's game in Orlando, but he did play 37 minutes in Charlotte.
Miles Bridges scored 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for the Hornets, who have lost seven of their last eight games. Brandon Miller scored 23 points despite going 2-for-10 from three, and Terry Rozier had 19 points and nine rebounds, but Charlotte shot 41.2 percent from the field.
