McClung and the Orlando Magic have agreed on a contract that is only partially guaranteed, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic. This is an improvement for the bouncy guard, who spent the first half of last season with the Delaware Blue Coats of the Sixers G League club before signing a two-way contract with the Sixers shortly before his involvement in the 2023 NBA Slam Dunk Contest. McClung put on an outstanding performance, representing the G League with pride as not only the first player to compete but also the contest's victor.
McClung was outstanding for the Blue Coats during his 31-game stay in Delaware, averaging 19.8 points and 4.9 assists while shooting 55.0 percent from the field and 47.4% from three. McClung only appeared in two games for the Sixers last season, but he still managed to average 12.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game.
