Mac McClung signs a Magic agreement

Mac McClung, the MVP of the NBA G League, agreed to a contract that is partially guaranteed with the Orlando Magic and will fight for a roster position. Having attended Orlando's training camp the previous season, McClung signed to a partly guaranteed contract with the Magic and will once again contend for a roster position.

McClung last played in the NBA in the 2022-23 season, when he made two appearances for the Philadelphia 76ers and averaged 12.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game. With a league-best 25.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 6.6 assists, and 1.3 steals per game, McClung has been voted the 2023–24 NBA G League Most Valuable Player. He also shoots 50.9% from the field and 39.6% from beyond the arc. McClung was the first player from the Osceola Magic to win the NBA G League MVP award.
