Orlando Magic advanced to the playoffs

The Orlando Magic earned the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs by defeating the Atlanta Hawks 120-95 in the Play-In game. Guard Cole Anthony put up a strong showing for Orlando, finishing with 26 points, 3 rebounds, and 6 assists. Trae Young, on the other hand, finished the night early despite leading the Hawks with 28 points and 6 assists. Young made a two-point shot with five minutes left in the game, but he violently threw the ball to the official, earning him a technical foul. He was dismissed from the game after receiving a second technical shortly after, demonstrating his persistent tendency to let his emotions control him.

The Magic progressed to the first round to play the Boston Celtics, who are ranked first. When the Hawks face the winner of the other face-In game between the Miami Heat and Chicago Bulls for the final (eighth) seed in the East, they will have one more chance to qualify for the playoffs.
