Sixers move past Pistons with Seth Curry, Tyrese Maxey’s help

A depleted Philadelphia 76ers beat Detroit Pistons 109-98 on Thursday night. Seth Curry scored 23 points, Maxey added 20 while Joel Embiid scored 19 points and nine rebounds for Sixers. This was Philadelphia’s second straight night and used just eight players as Furkan Korkmaz sat out and Tobias Harris was also sidelined due to COVID-19 protocols.

For Pistons Jeremi Grant had 27 points and five of which came in the second half, Cade Cunningham had 18 points and 11 rebounds. For Detroit, Grant had 22 points and helped the team to a 66-63 halftime lead. Pistons shot 27.3% (6 for 22) from the floor in the period. Cunningham hit four free throws as the Pistons cut the deficit to 97-89.
