LEC fans call for Riot to change ‘anticlimactic’ finals

The LEC's three-split format, culminating in a Season Finals, has been criticized for its lack of fan engagement. The format limits Riot Games' European roadshows to just one major event and uses a small 200-capacity studio for most finals, creating a less dynamic viewing experience. 

Fans have expressed frustration on Reddit, particularly about the Season Finals featuring only two games per week, which they feel hampers momentum and excitement. In contrast, the LCS Championship features all teams competing in the same week, keeping the action intense. One fan noted, “Two weeks to play four best-of-fives really is peak snooze fest.” There’s also criticism that the current structure diminishes the hype for both the Summer Split and the Season Finals, suggesting that combining them might enhance overall excitement.
