Riot amends Patch 14.11 to eliminate LoL lane switching

This strategic maneuver, once a sporadic occurrence, became the dominant tactic in nearly every match, prompting Riot Games to intervene. Lead gameplay designer Matt "Phroxzon" Leung-Harrison acknowledged the trend's impact, attributing it partly to teams adapting to player matchups but also recognizing instances where it became overly optimal. 

Riot's response entails recalibrating fortification and first turret gold values, aimed at curbing the prevalence of lane swaps without rendering the tactic obsolete. While occasional swaps enhance viewer experience, the incessant application has soured the community. With the upcoming 14.11 patch preview promising adjustments, anticipation brews regarding the extent of these changes.
