Borussia Dortmund forced to draw by brave Union

Borussia Dortmund missed the chance to strengthen their position at the top of the Bundesliga after being held to a 0–0 draw away to Union Berlin. Despite maintaining their unbeaten league record with four wins and two draws, BVB have now gone three games without victory in all competitions.

The visitors dominated possession but struggled to create clear opportunities during a scrappy first half. Union threatened through Kastriot Imeri’s dangerous set-piece delivery, which forced Gregor Kobel into a sharp save.

Dortmund increased their attacking intent after the break, with Maximilian Beier narrowly missing the target following a cross from Julian Ryerson. Union responded through Tim Skarke, who squandered a promising one-on-one opportunity. Late efforts from substitute Fabio Silva and teenager Mathis Albert failed to break the deadlock.

Union earned a valuable point but remain in the relegation play-off position. Dortmund temporarily retain top spot as their attacking inconsistencies continue to raise concerns ahead of their next fixture.
