Jose Mourinho has shared an emotional tribute to Roma supporters following Real Madrid’s dramatic 4-3 victory over the Italian side in the Champions League on October 14.
The Portuguese coach took to Instagram to thank the fans who welcomed him with chants and a moving banner celebrating his contribution to the club.
“When the most beautiful moments of a long career are not the goals or victories, but the emotions for which I can only humbly express my gratitude,” Mourinho wrote.
He concluded his message with a heartfelt acknowledgment: “Thank you, Roma. Thank you, Romanisti. Eternal feelings of gratitude towards you.”
Mourinho managed Roma from August 2021 until January 2024, overseeing 138 matches and guiding the Giallorossi to the 2022 UEFA Conference League title. Despite his dismissal, he retained strong support from the club’s passionate fanbase, whose reception demonstrated the lasting connection between the manager and the Italian capital.
