Real Madrid will be without Vinicius against Barcelona

Real Madrid have been dealt a significant blow after Vinicius Junior received a four-match suspension, ruling him out of the highly anticipated El Clásico against Barcelona on October 25.

According to Spanish newspaper Marca, the disciplinary committee reached its verdict after reviewing referee Isidro Díaz de Mera Escuderos’ report.

Vinicius had a goal disallowed against Villarreal after VAR revealed he pulled Nathan Saliba’s hair before scoring. The incident was classified as violent conduct, resulting in a straight red card.

The Brazilian received two matches for the offence and another two for protesting his dismissal. His suspension covers upcoming league encounters against Sevilla, Racing Santander and Valencia, before the decisive meeting with Barcelona.

The absence represents a major setback for José Mourinho’s side, who need their attacking star as they pursue crucial points in the La Liga standings this season.
