CAF has released the full calendar for its 2026/27 interclub competitions, giving teams clarity ahead of the new campaign. Mamelodi Sundowns, fresh from lifting their second CAF Champions League title, will attempt to become the first South African club to win back‑to‑back continental crowns. They are joined by Betway Premiership winners Orlando Pirates, third‑placed Kaizer Chiefs and Nedbank Cup champions Durban City, who enter the CAF Confederation Cup. Chiefs reached last season’s group stage, while Durban City make their debut after their cup triumph.
CAF has not yet conducted the draws, though Sundowns, as Africa’s top‑ranked club, are expected to receive a first‑round bye, with Chiefs likely earning the same in the Confederation Cup. First‑round ties run from 4‑6 and 11‑13 September, followed by second‑round fixtures on 16‑18 and 23‑25 October. Group stages begin in late November and conclude in January, before knockout rounds from February to May, ending ahead of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
