Mourinho welcomes back Vinicius as international core rebuilds

Jose Mourinho continued reintegrating his internationals during Real Madrid’s second session of the week, welcoming Vinicius Jr, Endrick, Yan Diomande, Denzel Dumfries and Brahim Diaz back into the fold. The group trained alongside regulars Eder Militao, Alvaro Carreras, Antonio Rüdiger, Aurelien Tchouameni, Thibaut Courtois and Andriy Lunin, while Castilla prospect Thiago Pitarch was again drafted in after earning minutes with Spain’s Under‑20s. Ibrahima Konaté, recently sidelined with a collateral ligament issue, completed gym and on‑grass drills without setbacks.

The session featured activation work, speed exercises combined with finishing, two‑on‑two attacking sequences and small‑sided games. Several internationals have yet to return, including Eduardo Camavinga, Arda Güler and Bernardo Silva, while Dean Huijsen, Marc Cucurella, Jude Bellingham and Trent Alexander‑Arnold remain on duty. Injured trio Raúl Asencio, Kylian Mbappé, Fede Valverde, Ferland Mendy and Rodrygo continue individual recovery programmes, with Mbappé targeting a comeback against Villarreal.
