Blazers take down depleted Lakers 106-101

Portland Trail Blazers found a 106-101 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night at the Moda Center in front of the fans for the first time this season. A total of 1,900 fans attended the game and watched how the sixth-placed Portland improved their record to 38-29 and secured a one-game lead over the Lakers who are seventh in the Western Conference with 37-30. Lakers would not have to fight for a playoff berth. Portland won the season series 2-1 against LeBron James fewer Lakers.

Blazers ended the first quarter with a good lead over Lakers 34-22 but Lakers climbed back to end the second quarter with 33-25 but still were behind at halftime by 55-59. Lakers could not outclass Blazers, Kyle Kuzma even missed the game-tying three that could have pushed the game into OT. Lillard scored 38 points in the end with 7 assists while Davis also scored 36 points with 12 rebounds and 6 assists.
