The 6-foot-8 Australian prospect from the G-League Ignite, Dyson Daniels views himself as more of a defensive player than a point guard. This has interested the Knicks very much about this young talent. The Knicks require a point guard and more of a defensive presence which can be found in Daniels. Even though he hails from a rural town in Australia, Daniels is pretty eager to try the big city. He said that it has always been his strength, playing 1 through 4 on defense.
He went on to say that a lot of teams now have two or three defenders on the floor but he is a two-way player who can play on both sides of the ball. He has turned down offers from N.C. State and Colorado to pay for the G-League Ignite.
