A good third-quarter run of 24-0 sees Hornets to their first win of the season, against Indiana Pacers on Wednesday. The key player that saw them to a win was LaMelo Ball who hit 31 points which included seven three-pointers to see them through to 123-122 in the last moment win after Indiana led by 122-121.
Ball even had nine rebounds and seven assists. For Charlotte, Gordon Hayward ended with 27 runs and their new recruits Kelly Oubre Jr. and Ish Smith. Miles Bridges scored 13 points each. Indiana was leading by as much as 21 points in the second half with Sabonis’s 33 points, Malcolm Brogdon’s 28, and Chris Duarte complimented with 27 but could not see the team to a win.
