Philadelphia 76ers beat the Brooklyn Nets, 96-84

Tyrese Maxey scored 33 points, Joel Embiid and Tobias Harris had 20 apiece, and the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Brooklyn Nets, 96-84, to take a 2-0 lead in their Eastern Conference playoff series. The two-time NBA scoring champion, Embiid, was only 6 of 11 from the field offensively, but he accomplished almost everything else. The finalist for MVP had 3 blocks, 7 assists, and 19 rebounds. Harris grabbed 12 boards. After an incredible performance in Game 1, James Harden only managed to score 8 points for the Sixers on 3-of-13 shooting.

Cam Johnson scored 28 points to lead the Nets. Johnson posterized the 7-footer with a one-handed slam on the right side that sent Embiid sprawling. While the Nets forward backpedalled on defence in the first half, Johnson kept his gaze fixed on Embiid.
