The 13-year NBA veteran, Chris Paul had earlier denied the $44 million player option earlier but now has inked a long-term deal with the 2021 Western Conference Champions. The actual amount of the deal hasn't been disclosed yet but it could be worth as much as $120 million over the next four years.
Singing a long term with a 36-year-old might not have been a wise choice for Suns but as per the reports only three seasons are partially guaranteed but the last season falls under the non-guaranteed part of the contract. Paul is one of the most decorated players of all time and his move to the Suns last season helped them to the 2021 NBA finals last season even if Giannis Antetokounmpo and the team then proved to be the better team. In the last season, Paul averaged16.4 points, 8.9 assists and 1.4 steals per game, while in the postseason, he averaged 19.2 points, 8.6 assists, and 1.2 steals per game.
