The Jazz has discussed a 3-team contract for Mitchell

Well, it was just a while ago that we thought Utah Jazz would trade Donovan Mitchell to the New York Knicks. They were looking forward to sealing the Rudy Gobert deal in a trade for Donovan and the Knicks seemed affirmative about the option. But suddenly there was no certainty over the future of Mitchell since there was no progress made. 

However, that has been cleared and now Utah Jazz is making an approach for Mitchell's trade. It is known that a 3-team deal is discussed for the player, involving the Los Angeles Lakers and the New York Knicks. This deal would be beneficial for the Knicks and Jazz but would the lakers achieve anything from it? now, that's what needs to be pondered upon. Also, it seems like the Lakers aren't too sure about this deal.
