The duo Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum of Portland Trail Blazers climbed up the news bulletin entering the trade rumors replacing one of them. McCollum seems more likely as the summer target with Lillard being the face of the franchise and a juicy option for many suitors once available in the market.
Philadelphia 76ers is brighter in the picture as the perfect destination for the 29-year-old joining their second-best player, Ben Simmons. The deal makes sense for Sixers to offer forward Tobias Harris for McCollum to Portland, gaining aid for Joel Embiid in floor spacing. The Trail Blazers can have Harris next to Lillard as a great rebounder, on-court facilitator, perimeter defender, and floor spacer. With last season’s average of 23.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 4.7 assists while shooting 45.8 percent from the field and 40.2 percent from beyond the arc, McCollum would be a great asset to the Sixers with Norman Powell ready to replace him at Portland with a five-year, $90 million contract.
