Reddy called up for West Indies ODIs as India reshuffle squad

India has announced its squad for the upcoming home ODI series against the West Indies. In a tactical roster move, all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy was withdrawn from the Asian Games squad to join the senior ODI setup. Shubman Gill will captain the star-studded one-day squad, which features cricket veterans Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, while KL Rahul steps in as vice-captain.

Meanwhile, Shreyas Iyer will lead the parallel national team at the Asian Games and a one-off T20I match against Japan. Uncapped players Naman Dhir and Auqib Nabi have earned maiden international call-ups. Notably, Rishabh Pant was excluded from the ODI selection, instead assigned to lead Rest of India in the Irani Cup, while Dhruv Jurel remains the backup keeper.
