The Netherlands has announced a seasoned squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka, featuring the return of several familiar faces. After missing the recent Bangladesh tour, Roelof van der Merwe, Bas de Leede, Michael Levitt, and Zach Lion-Cachet have rejoined the national setup. Veteran allrounder Colin Ackermann returns to T20Is for the first time since November 2024, while Timm van der Gugten is back following an impressive six-wicket T20 Blast stint.
Logan van Beek also returns after his Super Smash campaign. Conversely, Teja Nidamanuru, Tim Pringle, and Vikramjit Singh have missed out. The Dutch are positioned in Group A against Pakistan, Namibia, the USA, and defending champions India.
This now represents their seventh World Cup appearance, recalling their famous 2009 debut victory over England. Led by skipper Scott Edwards, the side begins their 2026 campaign against Pakistan on February 7 in Colombo, hoping to succeed.
