Cloud9 completed the 2022 LCS Summer Split in fifth and knocks FlyQuest down to 6th with their sudden win on Sunday night in the fifth place decider match. If anybody can disturb the apparently pre-decided top three of Team Liquid, 100 Thieves, and Evil Geniuses and swipe a Worlds place, it’s totally Cloud9. As for FlyQuest, they would have to deal with a heavy defeat that placed them sixth on the table ahead of the playoff match this season.
The LCS Championship will now kick off on Aug. 20 with C9 going head to head against Counter Logic Gaming and FlyQuest would meet Team Liquid and the losers of the match would face Golden Guardians and TSM respectively. This marks an end to the tumultuous split for C9 as they move on to the next stage.
