Cloud9, opening the second half of the split with a fresh face

Even after dominating the fourth week of the 2023 LCS Spring Split, Cloud9 is abruptly switching mid-lanes in order to make a huge lineup move. Jang "EMENES" Min-su, a mid laner, will be promoted to the starting lineup by C9, while Dimitri "Diplex" Ponomarev will take up the vacated position on the organization's Challenger squad. In their upcoming match against TSM Challengers, he will leap onto the Summoner's Rift, while EMENES will be making his debut the following week versus Golden Guardians.

According to League stats aggregator Oracle's Elixir, EMENES has been performing very well in the Challengers League, with the second-most kills in the league so far at 107, 129 assists to go along with that number, and participation in 65 percent of his team's total kills. C9 just had a great superweek with big wins, which could help them keep up their momentum for the next four weeks of the split.
