Cloud9’s time in LCS Spring Split playoffs ends early

Cloud9 marks an end to their run in LCS Spring Playoffs with Finals right around the corner. C9 was bested in the best-of-five series by Evil Geniuses most recently and the former ends the season after a disappointing run with the most total team deaths of the postseason. The talented League of Legends roster amassed a total of 150 deaths and had the third-lowest team KDA in the postseason as well, beating just FlyQuest and Golden Guardians.

In the regular season, their prospects of winning the title were high with top laner Summit being considered for the most valuable player award of the 2022 Spring Split. But facing 100T and EG in the playoffs, C9 faltered and the other side had their eye set on the MSI berth and a better gameplay strategy than C9.
