Dignitas defeats unbeaten Liquid in a "disgusting" LCS thriller

This split of the League of Legends Championship Series was all set for Team Liquid to go unbeaten for a lengthy period of time, but on July 22, their streak was abruptly stopped by an unforeseen foe after just five games.

Dignitas defeated Evil Geniuses on June 16 to take the top victory of this split, but they were otherwise winless in the LCS Summer Split, losing to Cloud9, Immortals, and Golden Guardians. But in their week two encounter against Liquid, the group made a significant improvement and overcame the previously unbeaten team in a 40-minute barnstormer. With three of their next four games against bottom-dwellers 100 Thieves, NRG, and the winless FlyQuest, Dignitas, which is now 2-3 in the LCS Summer Split, is determined to show that they have what it takes to advance to the playoffs.
