EDG eliminates LNG in LPL Summer Split

EDG pushes for the LPL title and stays in the running for the 2021 World championship seat as well as advances ahead to the 2021 LPL Summer Split semifinals. Edward Gaming eliminated LNG Esports by thrashing them by 3-1 to secure a top-three finish this season. With the win, they have also guaranteed a minimum of 80 Championship Points as well improving their chances drastically to qualify for Worlds in Europe.

EDG would have won the series straight if LNG didn't fight back in the third game with Ale and Icon working hard in the top and mid lane. Ale won the MVP vote for the game with his pristine performance that was reflected with the perfect KDA. In the other matches, they were outmatched and prematurely ended their 2021 LPL campaign. LNG now sets their eye on the Worlds qualification and needs a top-two finish in the Regional Finals to qualify.
