Evil Geniuses is purportedly aiming to off-load four superstars

According to a report on Blix.gg by esports writer Alejandro Gomis, Evil Geniuses is purportedly aiming to off-load four superstars from its League division as part of a significant roster makeover. This choice was made in response to the team's somewhat underwhelming performance during the 2023 Spring Split, during which it placed fifth in the regular season standings and was eliminated from the playoffs early by the Golden Guardians.

Top laner Kim "Ssumday" Chan-ho, jungler Kacper "Inspired" Sloma, AD carry Victor "FBI" Huang, and experienced support Philippe "Vulcan" Laflamme all said to be leaving. If this choice is made, Joseph "jojopyun" Pyun, who is contracted through November 2024, will be the lone survivor from the team's LCS championship run in 2022. However, sources have reportedly stated that the organisation is going "mega budget" for the next 2023 Summer Split. Replacements for the four individuals have not been planned or talked about.
